1. Introduction
Welcome to Eyam ("Website"), operated by Eyam Investment Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). Eyam is an alternative savings, investments, and loans platform specializing in financial education, financial inclusion, savings, investments, secured and unsecured loans for individuals and businesses.
The terms form a legally binding agreement between you, the person who uses Eyam platform, and us, Eyam Investment Technologies. By ‘accepting’ the terms when you sign up and by continuing to use Eyam, you agree to these terms.
2. Delivery Policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, transactions will be processed within one business day. Confirmation of transactions will be provided via email.
Business day is any day other than a Saturday, a Sunday, or an official bank holiday or public holiday in the Republic of South Africa.
3. Cancellation, Return, and Refunds Policy
The provision of services by Eyam is subject to market conditions. In cases of service interruption or cancellation, refunds will be handled at our discretion within 30 days. A cancellation fee of 7% will apply to all cancellation requests made within 7 business days from the date of receipt of payment.

4. Admin Fee for Supply
Eyam charges an admin fee of 5% on all amounts supplied through the platform. This fee is used to cover operational costs, including payments to our workers and referral partners who help grow our community and ensure a high-quality service. The 5% admin fee is calculated as follows: Supply amount R100 x 5% = R5 admin fee.
5. Early Withdrawal Fee
Each Eyam “savings and loan” facility agreement is applicable for a fixed period of twelve (12) months from the effective date. Upon the expiration of the initial period, the agreement may be renewed or extended subject to Eyam’s terms and conditions.
In the event of an early withdrawal before the completion of the 12-month period, a 5% early withdrawal fee will apply to the interest portion earned. For example: R10,000 advanced on 1 January 2025 for 12 months but withdrawn on 1 April 2025. Interest earned = R250, early withdrawal fee = R12,50. Eyam offers a 100% guarantee on the capital amount supplied for all withdrawals outside the 7 business day cancellation period.
6. Customer Privacy Policy
Eyam will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. “Personal information” is defined in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Click here to download the PAIA document.
7. Payment Options Accepted
Payments may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners, or American Express cards or by bank transfer into the Eyam Investment Technologies bank account, details available on request.
8. Card Acquiring and Security
Card transactions will be acquired for Eyam via PayGate (Pty) Ltd. PayGate uses Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) encryption. No card details are stored on the website. More info: www.paygate.co.za.
9. Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details are stored separately from card details, which are entered on PayGate’s secure site. More info: PayGate's website.
10. Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country is South Africa, and the transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
11. Commission Earners – Referral Rewards
Commission earners in the referral rewards program are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Eyam.
12. Responsibility
Eyam takes responsibility for savings, investments, and loans on the platform, customer service, dispute resolution, and service delivery.
13. Security
You are responsible for securing your device and password. If compromised, reset your password immediately or contact Eyam support. Eyam is not liable for losses due to unauthorized access.
14. When You Are Not Liable
You are not liable for loss caused by fraud, negligence on our part, or system faults unless obvious or advised.
15. Our Intellectual Property
Eyam and its licensors own the intellectual property. You are granted a limited right to use it for Eyam’s services, which ends if you stop using the platform.
16. Prohibitions on Use of Intellectual Property
You may not copy, claim rights to, dispute ownership of, or damage Eyam’s intellectual property.
